A Fun Twist to the Toss... Fortune Bouquets
When it comes time to toss the bouquet things can get a little competitive. This is a fun idea to help alleviate any unnecessary scraps as the ladies dive into the dance floor ring for that chance to be next in line to tie the knot!
Gather up four to five smaller bouquets tied with ribbon and attach a fun fortune via charm or tag. Get crafty, have fun with this!
The fortunes can be about a future husband i.e., you will marry into wealth; you will marry a man you already know. The options are endless and can take many different directions based on the theme of your wedding.
Be sure to let the photographer know your plan; there will be some surprised faces when more than one bouquet takes flight!
The Heart of Mexico
What you'll see at a traditional wedding reception in Mexico, is the guests joining hands to form the shape of a heart, thus surrounding the bride and groom with love on there first dance together as husband and wife! What a great way to start your life together and to encourage your friends and family to join in and be part of a long standing tradition.
Turkish Sole
For generations Turkish brides have been getting their single bridesmaids to sign the bottom of her shoe before she sets forth down the aisle. Single gal guests are welcome to join in the fun as well!
Then as the bride dances the night away, cuts the cake, and has had a fair amount of time to wear those shoes out, she slips it off to find the name the has worn the most. Tradition has it that she will be the next to marry!
